Anti-Aging

Studies show that there is no difference in the efficacy of tretinoin 0.1%, the highest strength available, and 0.025% as far as collagen stimulation goes - there is only a difference in the degree of irritation as higher strengths can be more irritating. That being said, some patients like to increase the strength and anecdotally note improvements in their skin at higher concentrations, so we offer the 0.05% and 0.1% strength of our anti-aging cream as well. We recommend starting at 0.025% and working your way up.

Using a pea size amount, rub a thin layer of medication at night to all areas of your face. Avoid applying the cream directly around your eyes and lips as those areas can become irritated easily.

Tretinoin may be irritating and drying at first - eventually your skin becomes used to the medication. Start off using it 2-3 nights per week and increase frequency as tolerated. If any area becomes irritated, stop usage in that location and let the area heal before restarting there again.
