In a multicenter randomized study with 278 patients, 78% of patients using bimpatoprost saw a significant increase in overall eyelash prominence. ​ 99% of women had lashes that were 106% fuller. 100% of women had lashes that were 25% longer. 98% of women had lashes that were 18% darker

Each day put 1 drop of the solution on the applicator and apply it evenly along the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes.

Common side effects include itchy and red eyes. Hair may grow outside the treatment area, especially if the medication is applied directly to the eye or the lower eyelid. Bimatoprost may cause brown darkening of the colored part (iris) of your eye which is likely permanent, and occurred in less than 4% of patients in clinical trials. Bimatoprost may also cause eyelid skin darkening which may be reversible. If the medication is discontinued, lashes gradually return to the previous appearance. This medication may also decrease ocular pressure.
